Started the trip to Austin off with some authentic BBQ. Spent the rest of the night hanging out in the hotel with some of the other nerds in order to relax and ward off some of the nausea from the flight. Tomorrow we’ll be a little more adventurous after putting in 8 hours.

Deep below in the far depths of the Duffcave I have been tinkering, pondering, and generally pontificating the mundane things I have been carrying about. And while in a state of musing, something felt eerily neglected. It was then I realized I had not received a single email in over 24 hours. Perhaps I’ve taken the hermit approach a bit too far. September primarily consisted of anniversaries: Chicago and the Lady Duff. I and most people around me aged another year in October, which included a visit from the family where I got to be a tourist for a long weekend. Currently working on reaching a major milestone with the comic: completing volume 1 of scripts. I am, however, using a system based on Yogi Berra mathematics, in which the second volume will be noticeably longer. Still, it’s a mental milestone. Flying around the next couple of months, with the first trip coming up at the end of November for 3 weeks of training in Austin. But for now, it’s back to work.
