Visit from Eric, blizzard, car accident, Cut Copy, move to Bucktown/Wicker Park, Sarasota, Miami, Paul McCartney at Wrigley field, Fleet Foxes with the Walkmen, Michigan apple picking, 1st Chicago visit for the family, iPhone 4S, promotion, Austin, Morrissey, back to Miami, and many things I’ve forgotten. The next year will be, above all else, one thing. It will be because it must. Because we’re getting there; we’re even sort of close. Because despite more trips, concerts, and unforeseen unpleasantries, there will be one effort through it all. Because every time I take a walk, get off the train from the airport, or immerse with the city in any way, this image will remind me. It will challenge me. It will make fun of me and call me unmentionable things until I start. 2012: the year of the comic.
