Alright, I’ve been meme tagged by @hidama. While I hate these things and usually ignore any tags, I do fear the wrath of Hidama, so I’ll oblige (for now).
1. I carry a whole bunch of crap with me all the time.
I wear cargo shorts or pants basically all the time. I occupy all of the pockets with different items, except the rear pockets. I always carry with me: my keychain, consisting of keys, a Beatles bottle opener, a compact pen, and a Fenix LED flashlight; a Moleskine Pocket Notebook; wallet; Blackberry Pearl; Leatherman Wave; and Beatles Zippo.
I carry each item for their designated purpose, with the exception of the Zippo. I don’t smoke, but I figure it’s always good to be able to start a fire.
2. My ancestors were so important, that there is an estate in England with my name on it.
My father has visited Penton, UK, and apparently they welcome any Penton, offering lodging and food to anyone bearing the name.
3. I own equipment for all types of radio.
I own some sort of equipment in the following forms of radio: am, fm, HD, satellite, shortwave, and ham (amateur radio).
4. I am one of the the youngest, but also conscious Hurricane Andrew survivors.
I was four years old when Hurricane Andrew passed over Miami, meaning I will (hopefully) be amongst the last survivors who have vivid memories of Hurricane Andrew.
5. I’m certified for SCUBA diving.
I have both my open water and advanced ceritfication with NAUI for SCUBA diving, meaning I can dive at night, dive shipwrecks, and dive down to 130ft. below the surface.
6. I have an awesome 60s and 70s underground rock collection.
I host a 60s and 70s underground rock radio show, which obviously means I have a nice music collection. I have at least 80 vinyl LP’s, along with around 4,000 digital tracks of obscure rock music.
7. I’ve built a radio tower.
As part of my job, I’ve helped built a radio translator for the radio station I work at.
